Casis Gardens
Welcome to the:

The Casis Gardens are a new addition to the Casis
Elementary School campus. Built in the Spring of 2008
by teacher, parent and student volunteers, the gardens
will officially open as a new outdoor classroom this Fall
for the 2008-2009 school year. Designed as an outdoor
learning center, Casis students will be able to explore a
wide range of topics in every discipline offered at
Casis....With a strong partnership between teachers
and parents the gardens are an exciting resource to
enrich the quality and diversity of learning experiences
for our children.
The gardens are privately funded with generous
support coming from the PTA and community sponsors,
as well as ongoing fund raising efforts, which are vital to
the progress of this new school resource. In its
beginning stages, the Casis Gardens have strong roots
planted and a vision for future growth in which we hope
you will participate.
We hope you will become involved and support this
exciting new area for learning at Casis.
See you in the gardens!
If you are a Casis parent and are interested in
volunteering to help with the garden during the school
year, be sure to sign up in your child's classroom as a
garden parent. A green thumb is not required – just
come and learn with the children, guided by lesson
plans and enjoy the learning opportunities nature
provides.
